Medico Packs

Medico Pak is a simple but very effective way of managing your medication and is able to be used by all age groups from young people to the elderly. Medico Pak has been designed to make it easy to remember your daily doses with all of your medications packed in individual blisters for each daily dose.

Long Term Conditions

Designed for people with long-term illnesses who may need support with their medicines. An assessment is used to identify the things that affect your ability to take medication as prescribed. We are able to assist you with managing your medications and can coordinate your medications so that your prescription repeats fall due at the same time, making your medicine management simple.

warfarin Testing

Warfarin is used by some people as a blood thinning medicine e.g. after a stroke. It is important that blood results are regularly checked. This service involves having a quick test (finger prick) in the pharmacy to work out the correct dose. This saves you a trip to your local laboratory and waiting for your blood test to be processed. Community pharmacy anticoagulant management Service (CPAMS) – INR testing for warfarin patients.

FLU VACCINE

Getting a flu vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and your family against the effects of the flu: headaches, fever and aches and pains. The vaccine can also greatly reduces your risk of serious complications that can develop from the flu.

Flu vaccinations are FREE for New Zealanders who are 65 years or older or are pregnant. Flu vaccinations are also free for those with eligible medical conditions eg diabetes, asthma or compromised immune system. Ask our pharmacists for more details.

COVID VACCINATIONS

Covid vaccinations provided FREE for children (over 5 years) and adults. Ask us if you are eligible for a 6 monthly booster.

OTHER VACCINATIONS

We also provide FREE vaccinations for Shingles, Boostrix (whooping cough), MMR ( Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Bexero (MenB), MenQuadfi ( Men AVWY), Gardasil ( HPV), Ask us for eligibility criteria. If not eligible for funded service, a fee will apply.

VITAMIN B12 ADMINSTRATION

Our qualified vaccinating pharmacists are able to administer Vitamin B12. Fee applies.

Methadone dispensing

This pharmacy works alongside the DHB methadone programme. Pharmacy staff can administer methadone on a daily or a takeaway basis, depending on what has been agreed.
